aloysius - orientation 08/09

Orientation week. Monday to thursday.

On monday, it started out badly. The reason why was because of the mrt which delayed my journey. What a bad start .. Supposed to report at 9am, and i reported about 9.30am. Perhaps that happens to late birds. lol I was totally no suprised at all to see people started to chiong into buses, out of trains, and back to the train when it was working. Shall not go any further on this issue. If not i'll get flamed! lol

Upon entering the lecture room, all seats were occupied and wait, at that moment i only ate half of my bread and threw the remaining back into my bag. Luckily i found a corner seat with my class. Talks were going on. The faciliators were bunch of jokers, telling us jokes and so on. After that, we had our games.. Investigation of the murder of a girl who died at the infamous SP's red bridge. When games ended, we had our lunch at foodcourt 6 which i guess i'll frequent there since it's in school of business. Food were definitely up to my standard. haha the yong tau foo was reasonably cheap and tasty. Its like $2.35centso only! ha.

After that we reported back to our classrooms? or is it tutorial room? lol Then we had ice-breaking games. Did help of course. Know the names of most classmates but not all. I have a classmate which have the english name nearly similar. 1st word and last word is the same, which is Tan and Liang. lol The middle one was different. But the chinese character was different for the last word. His is 'bright' mine is kind lol!! Well at least he's bright and i am kind =p Then we were released at 3.15pm.

As on tuesday, we stayed in the convention centre most of the time. We had a programme scheduled for us, which is the Mr and Mrs Undercover Peagant. Like Mr and Mrs Smith? Hm.. Each class sent their representatives, but as for my class, none though we've already chose. And DTRM was hell high, cheering out their lungs, and same goes for DBF i think or was it another course. DAC was the softest and slack-iest.  After that we went for lunch at KouFu. Ordered my rice, and i realised after getting my food, i ordered a vege, potato, and french fries. LOL I swear i had a hard time eating it. And back to the convention centre, the victor was announced, from DTRM. Expected.

As for today, we had to bring out laptop to school, which is my bloy :P because they are going to us give some laptop tutorial. But in the end, we did not even switch on our laptop at all during the tutorial. We only used it when we return to our tutorial rooms by ourselves. lol And my PACC (principals of accounting) lecturer will be my class' mentor. She looked funny to me. lol We were given tin cans for the collection of donations tomorrow. our flag day. our class is allocated to bishan to sell the flag day. and we have to report at 7.30am!!! I have to sleep early tonight then!

Aside the orientation, now im thinking whether shld i continue to work. Seriously looking at the textbook and lecture notes which i just bought today really stress me out. I know it's just the starting. But what my mentor said was true, as for accounts, the basic must be really good, everything goes back to debit and credit. which i dont know anything about it, but anyway the fundamentals must be strong.
